Oxygentreatment

A Danish-developed anti-aging treatment

DermaOXY’s oxygen concept is developed to work in harmony with the skin’s natural processes, which is why great emphasis is placed on the careful selection of ingredients. Together, the chosen ingredients make a vital difference to the skin’s health, hydration, and structure.

We carefully select and combine raw materials with documented anti-aging effects, focusing on the reduction of wrinkles and fine lines, while promoting visibly healthier skin.

The oxygen treatment is an effective and safe procedure, completely non-invasive and without injections.

How does an oxygen treatment work?

During an oxygen treatment, pressurised oxygen is used to infuse nourishing and highly effective ingredients into the deeper layer of the skin, the dermis – where they can truly take effect and counteract signs of ageing.

Our skin is naturally resistant to external substances, which means that creams and serums on their own have great difficulty penetrating deeper than the outermost layer of the skin.

The treatment begins with an airbrush device that uses pure air at high pressure to propel a serum through the outer skin layer and down into the dermis. This serum contains a wide range of active anti-wrinkle ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, which hydrates the skin, and retinyl, which stimulates cell renewal.

Next, air with a 90% oxygen concentration is used to massage the active ingredients even deeper into the skin, all the way to the base of the dermis. The high oxygen concentration activates the serum’s components and enhances their anti-ageing effect.

This ensures optimal absorption of the active ingredients and makes it possible to see a visible reduction in wrinkles and fine lines as little as 20 minutes after the treatment.

How do wrinkles form?

The outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis, acts as the skin’s protective surface. However, the skin derives its strength, structure, and elasticity from the underlying layer – the dermis.

The dermis is responsible for the skin’s fullness and is a dense layer of tissue primarily composed of collagen, which provides strength and structure, and elastin fibres, which give the skin its firmness and elasticity.

With age, the levels of collagen and hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease, as the body’s ability to produce these substances gradually declines from the age of 25. As a result, the skin loses strength and volume, since collagen makes up a large part of the skin’s structure and connective tissue. The elastin fibres become weaker, reducing elasticity and causing the skin to lose its firmness. In addition, the skin’s ability to retain moisture diminishes due to a lack of hyaluronic acid.

Effects of oxygen treatment:

  • Stimulates collagen production
  • Nourishes elastin fibres and improves skin elasticity
  • Transports active ingredients into the dermis using pure oxygen
  • Maintains and restores the skin’s moisture balance through the infusion of hyaluronic acid
  • Visible results as little as 20 minutes after treatment

Anti-ageing treatment course

If you wish to effectively combat the signs of ageing, you can undergo a treatment course in which the oxygen treatment is supported by dermaOXY’s Microdermabrasion treatment. This deeply cleanses the skin and makes it more receptive to the active ingredients infused during the oxygen treatment.

Documentation

DermaOXY’s products and treatments have been tested and documented in the university report“DermaOXY – Effect and Evidence”.
